Cinnamon rolls, cardamom buns, vanilla custard buns, and so much more.
Every pastry I tried on the trip, I gave a review. Previously my pastry reviews have been all different types from one shop and recorded loudly talking in a secluded place. This time, I am trying a different pastry or two at each shop we visit. I’m a bit shy to do my reviews in the restaurants, but here we go!
Buka
Tebirkes
I really enjoyed tebirkes!
H.U.G.
Reviews from a gluten free cafe.
The other gluten free cafe that we wanted to go to was closed while we were there.
Henningsvær
Reine
Here’s more information on the Kvæfjordkake. It was a really good dessert. It tasted like a combo of multiple desserts that I like – sponge cake, cream, and meringue.
Nusfijord
Although I talk about how dry this pastry is, in retrospect, I think it was the best dough overall. Simple and plain, but very good.
Copenhagen Airport
I had to get one more pastry before flying away!

The sign says Pastry Social in English and below in Danish it says Wienerbrødsstang. I guess it’s just an easy pastry to bring to events, since it’s a long pastry able to be cut into small slices for sharing.
I hope you enjoyed my pastry review and journey through Copenhagen and Lofoten, Norway!
I am now back home and incorporating some of the hygge mindset and ambiance ideas into my cozy home as the cold weather approaches. Til next time!
